Privacy policy
Motoplow is a small hobby project run by Adam Fiejdasz. Carplow and Motoplow are the same app under two names. This page says what it keeps about you and why. Questions or a deletion request: support@motoplow.com.
What we collect
- From Google sign-in: your name, email address and profile photo. We never see your Google password.
- From email sign-in: your email address. A sign-in link works once; we keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it for 15 minutes.
- What you set up: your saved searches and their settings, the display name and “into” line on your profile, and which grades you want emailed.
- What you share: listings you send to friends or crews, and your comments, reactions and votes on them.
- Activity: when you last signed in and visited, and the running cost of your searches.
Where listings come from
Listings are public posts on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, eBay Motors, CarGurus, Cycle Trader and Bring a Trailer, collected through Apify. Motoplow is not affiliated with any of them. Listing text and photos are sent to Anthropic’s Claude (directly or through Amazon Bedrock) to grade them. Your own details are not sent for grading.
Where it is stored
Data is stored with Amazon Web Services in the US West (Oregon) region. The site is hosted on Vercel, and alert emails are sent through Amazon SES.
What we don’t do
No ads, no selling or renting your data, no tracking across other sites. The only cookies are the ones that keep you signed in.
Who can see what
Other members see your display name and photo, and only once your account has full access. Your email address is never shown to other members. Anyone with a share link can see that one shared listing.
Deleting your data
Email support@motoplow.com from the address you sign in with, and your account, searches and shares will be deleted within 30 days. Listing data stays, because it is public and helps price other vehicles.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
